Why You Must Let go of FEAR in Life & Business!

let go of fear in life and business

How many times have you seen a new product, service or business and thought “that is exactly like the idea I had last year!” Or how about reading your own notes on a weekend doodle pad from a year ago documenting all the awesome things you were going to do in life or business only to find they are not done?

Do you ever experience any of the following:

  • Feel like you are spinning your wheels.
  • Feel life is passing you by.
  • Know you could do better than your competition that is kickin' your butt & takin' names?
  • Think your dog has more motivation to complete tasks to completion than you.
  • Overwhelmed from all you have on your plate.
  • Overwhelmed with your new startup business and don't know where to start.
  • You have a plan, know what needs to be done but have fear of the unknown.
  • Fear of failing.
  • Fear of succeeding and how you will handle the growth in your business.

If you are experiencing any of the above you may have an issue with letting go of fear. What is keeping you from putting all you have into your life and business.

Why is it you are sitting on the sidelines, watching life go by?

The reason your competition is passing you by is that they are going for it. They are kickin' butt and takin' names because they figure they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

If you are a small business owner, entrepreneur, founder of a brand new startup, or following a path of your dream career in corporate, this is your life. It's not my life, not your neighbors life and definitely not your dog's life.

If you don't believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to believe in you? If you don't take life by the horns, nobody else is going to jump on your idea and enjoy the ride of their life.

Let go of the F Word!

It is time my friend that you let go of the fear. Let go of the fear holding you back from moving forward. You must slow down to speed up and do things right. You must hit the turbo button every once in awhile. You must decide once and for all that this is your life and that nothing is going to stop you from making it all you can be.

I have never been one to be afraid. I have never been timid or shy. However, I have struggled with the same thing. As I look back in stages of my life and business and analyze the times where I kicked butt and took names there are definite themes and similarities. The times I rocked it to the extreme in results were the times I let go of fear completely.

We Did it, You can Too!

marketing nutz social media marketing agency We recently sold our first agency and relaunched a brand new full service social media, word of mouth and digital marketing agency called Marketing Nutz. Note we did this in the middle of a terrible national and local economy, very busy family and business season for us. School was getting out for the summer, vacations were planned. New clients  were on board.

Do you think we had the time to brand and launch another agency in addition to the work we were already doing? Heck no!

However, we went for it. With this agency we decided it was time for some serious “game on like Donkey Kong.” My co-founder and I, Josh Moore put our game face on, let go of fear and decided it was time we kick some serious butt and took some big names.

The results… we are rockin' it. We are working with new dream clients, have platforms launching that we had dreamed about and planned for two or more years, being invited to keynote speak at events around the globe and the list goes on. We are bringing plans and conversations with online colleagues that were nothing more than a tweet stream the past year to in real life projects being executed with an amazing set of team players. We are working with the best partners in the industry, finding ways we can help one another grow, all launching and executing our dreams together! We are all much better as a team than we are as individual silos sitting at a table of one, holding on to the cup of fear waiting for the perfect day to make it all happen.

We are helping loads of new business owners, friends and colleagues do the same. We believe that the more people we help in both life and business the more full our life and business becomes and the more we grow as individuals.

We are moving from Tampa, Florida to Orlando within the next 6 months to move to a healthier economy and lifestyle. Although the majority of our clients are national and international we miss the bigger city filled with folks who are rockin' it. Folks who are not holding on to fear, but throwing it out the window. As I always say… “if you hang with 9 brokes, you are going to wind up being the 10th.”  It is so very important you hang with folks who are going places, people and leaders who are truly rockin' it and want to take you with them.

There has been no comparison in the results we see when we put our game face on compared to those times we sit more timid, waiting for the perfect time.

Embrace Imperfect Perfection!

social media in a nut shellThere is no perfect time. There is no perfect plan. There is no perfect client. There is no perfect relationship, tweet chat, Facebook page or social business integration plan.

There is only today and tomorrow. Yesterday is gone… long gone. You either rocked it or wasted it on another day filled with fear and void of taking you one step closer to your dreams.

Tell me… why are you holding on to what is holding you back?

As Pastor Greg Dumas of Crossing Church always says… “write the checks that only God can cash.”

Believe in yourself and you won't believe the results.

God's plans for your life are far bigger than your dreams can ever be, so dream in super size peeps!

Go get em' friends!

Pam – Funny how fear can be debilitating as well as motivating. As you have pointed out, letting fear creep into your mindset is a sure cure for progress.
On the other hand, instilling fear of possible loss in the mind of a customer is often a great motivator and call to action.
    Quite the paradox?

    • PamMktgNut September 25, 2012 at 8:28 pm

@MZazeela Interesting take. I agree with you. However, I like to flip it on a positive. Make the customer happy and you’ll have 10 more like them.
